"But there's never been any of your race here before" -Mr Beaver, What Happened after Dinner; LWW
Mr. Beaver made this statement with seeming sincerity, yet long before, when Narnia had just awakened Digory, Polly Uncle Andrew, Jadis, and the Cabby driver with his horse fell into it. Of those six beings, four were human. The Cabby, Frank, and his wife Helen, who was brought there by Aslan later, became the first rulers of Narnia. What happened to their descendants? When did they leave Narnia?
Yet even stranger to me, is Mr. Beaver's ability to forget about the beginning.
"I tell you we don't change, we beasts," said Trufflehunter. "We don't forget. I believe in the High King Peter and the rest that reigned at Cair Paravel, as firmly as I believe in Aslan himself." Caspian's Adventure in the Mountains; PC
If Mr. Beaver, who is a beast can forget then is there no truth in what Trufflehunter said to Caspian?

I don't know Ivan. I think for Mr. Beaver to have been building his dam he would have had to have big teeth. Did it ever describe Mr. and Mrs. Beaver as having small incisors? I don't think I answered your question, sorry Ivan...
