Hey! I'm Crystal, and I go to The Thenid. Your narnia forum has some potential, but I must say, you need to give some more work to your colour scheme. I'm an artist, and I must say that the green colours, next to the gold are a little hard on the eyes. I recomend that you try for more gold, with perhaps a white background, and maybe some dark, forest green accents. (I don't mean to sound mean, just think it could be better) Here is one (of many) places you can find some nice colour codes. You probably use somewhere already. But if you havn't been to this website.. it is absolutely wonderful, and I'd reccomend it to anyone interested in doing casual website-making. lovely. Explains everything in readable language. May Aslan look apon you with love, ~Crystal~

yeah I realize that the colors were kinda wacko... I gave Nariel the power to change it, though. I just was trying to get something other than the horrid gray and orange that it was at first... apologies for the eye-sore, Crystal

Are the colors still too bright? I'm trying to maintain Narnia's heraldic colors: gold and red. Thank you for your input Crystal~elf.

( : getting better.
Now it reminds me of my old lotr forum... same greens. lol. Anyhow, I hope I didn't come off as nasty in my last post. I certainly didn't mean to. Just a friendly comment, you know.
Mmmm, skins. That is one new feature about proboards that I think has great potential. I almost want to work on my old site just to use it. ( :
Well, I hope your nice little forum will grow and florish with the movies coming out soon. I'm afraid I can't commit myself to coming to it, as I'm too busy, but I hope all goes well and I might pop by now and then to check it out. ( :
Grace and Peace, ~Crystal~

Ooo, very interesting. Much different! ( : Even more potential! ( :
My only suggestion would be to try to intagrate the narnia image from the upcoming films into your scheme a little more. I see that you've picked up the pale blue in the text colour, but I think you could do even better. Another option would be to find an image that matched better, but none I've seen thus far are popping to my head.
Btw, the lion icons are a nice touch. Keep up the good work! ( : (didn't that sound cheese? or maybe it's just me.)
Anyhow, grace and peace, ~Crystal~

I like the new image! Did you make the border and stuff yourself? It's cool how the letters seem almost to fade when you look at it. (I really thought they were fading for a moment there) And it does definitely match better. My only comment is that it draws slightly away from the theme of aslan, as mentioned in the title of the board.
My only suggestion at the moment, concerns the predominant purple colour. It is a very lovely colour, but I'm not sure it suits the site overly much. It is very close to the dark blue back ground. I suggest that you put the royal blue where the purple is, and change the background to a very pale blue colour. In fact, if you could find/make a 'textured' colour similar to the border of your icon image, I think it would look stunning. You could sort of go with the snow theme of the first film/book, and keep the royal feel of the blue.
Now, one little comment, about the comment I made earlier, about the 'aslan theme'. A way that you could perhaps keep that theme, would be to return to an image of the great lion, and use your royal blue, add perhaps some royal red, and maybe a touch of golden lining. Or, instead of red, a royal purple. Anyhow, just an idea, I've no idea if it would really work or not.
Yours Faithfully, ~Crystal~

mmm, whatever I can do to help!
Hey, I like it! I'm on a different computer that usual, so I can't tell if you've changed the colours a bit or if it's just my comp change... I think it is my comp change. Anyhow, nice pic!
Have you been to uh, I think it is called solidsnakeskins.com or something. I found it throught the proboars support board. It's got some nice site skins and buttons and things. I can't seem to find it at the moment, and my account on the support site won't let me stay logged in. Anyhow, you could probably find it in a search or something.
*spins about, her long, golden blonde hair flying, and dances into the distance*

No one really ever did. Well I did, but I always liked the darker haired over the lighter.
Umm... Crystal I think I might hold onto this color scheme for a little while, unless Eruname says otherwise.

It is a very nice colour scheme.. ;D
Actually, aparently most of Tolkien's elves were dark haired... in fact, so was Legolas. Tolkien avoided describing Legolas in general, but there is one spot in the book where he does, and in that description Legolas has long dark, (black?) hair and green eyes. I think they should have followed that for the movied.. Orlando looks better with dark hair.

Is it truly?
I think most people do know that most elves were dark-haired. Only the Vanyar and those descended from them had Golden hair. Namely Fingolfin, Glorfindel, Galadriel, Idril, and perhaps Celebrian if I remember correctly. I would like to know the reference to Legolas' description though. I don't recall ever reading it.
